“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

1 John 5:4-5 ESV

The Rise Up Worship Team is made up of worship leaders of surrounding churches. Each member of the Rise Up Worship Team is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and promoting the message of Rise Up.

The churches represented in the Rise Up Worship Team are Mount Enon Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, and First Baptist Marianna.

Meet the Worship Leaders

Andrew Spry

Andrew is the music director and lead guitarist for First United Methodist Church of Dothan’s Promise band. Andrew’s desire on stage is to meld the strengths of his fellow servants in Christ to cultivate impassioned moments for His glory. Off stage, Andrew’s heart is for communicating that Christ’s love transcends sonic worship so that a momentary spark may become an all-consuming fire. Andrew’s life is proof that Christ’s goodness and grace are beyond sufficient for every broken spirit and thirsty soul.

“O Lord, everything good in me is due to you. The rest is my fault.” - Augustine of Hippo.

Justin Mills

Justin Mills is a praise team leader and the X-Static Children’s Pastor at Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle where he attends church with his wife Alyson and three kids, Haley, Asher, and CJ. He and his wife are the directors of Camp Te Amo, an afternoon/summer camp that is a ministry through Guardian Angel and AFGT. Justin’s desire for Rise Up is that we would come together as one body, lifting our voices in authentic praise and experiencing the joy and renewal that only God’s presence can bring.

“I am so honored to be leading worship for Rise Up! Worship has been such important part of my life and ministry, and my heart is to create space where everyone can truly encounter the presence of God! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading in many different settings, and one thing remains the same - worship is more than music; it’s about meeting Jesus in a real and life changing way!”
